I am involved in the Foreigners' Advisory Board because I want to help make the diverse voices of foreigners in the city of Zurich more heard. A full third of Zurich's resident population does not have a Swiss passport and therefore no possibility of influencing decisions that change their place of residence through elections and votes. However, the Foreigners' Advisory Council offers us foreigners the opportunity to draw attention to our needs and perspectives in the city council and thus in politics and society. With good organization and communication, we can help to promote our participation after our integration.
