The award for sustainable residential renovations is aimed at private, institutional, public or cooperative ownership of realized renovations with the planners commissioned by them.

The renovation concerns multi-family houses (individual buildings or groups of buildings/settlements) on the territory of the city of Zurich, the majority of whose usable space is used for rental for residential purposes.

The implementation date of the renovation is within five years before the award year (award 2012: realization completed in 2007 and later).

The renovated building or the renovated group of buildings/settlement is rented and inhabited.

Natural persons who are involved in the preparation or execution of the award procedure or who have business relationships with a member of the jury that create a conflict of interest are not entitled to submit.

On the other hand, the property administration of the City of Zurich, municipal foundations and cooperatives with building rights contracts with the City of Zurich are entitled to submit.

Entries that do not meet the conditions of participation formulated in this call for applications will be rejected from the award ceremony.
