The "Exchange and Living Together" loan can be used to support projects limited to two to five years that contribute to strengthening and improving coexistence in the city of Zurich. The focus is on promoting commitment and increasing the participation of sections of the population that have little other opportunity to participate in everyday social life.

The population of the city is characterized by a great (also intercultural) diversity. For this reason, projects are primarily co-financed whose sponsorship has a high level of transcultural competence in planning and implementation and which focus on a specific social space or a thematically relevant question in a demand-oriented and innovative manner. 

CHF 250,000 is available per year. In an estimate, integration promotion assumes that three to six projects will be supported with CHF 50,000 to CHF 80,000 each per operating year.

New applications for project implementation from 2021 can be submitted again with immediate effect.
