The expertise was developed on behalf of Stadtentwicklung Zürich in parallel with a corresponding study by the Swiss Association of Cities SSV by the research and consulting office INFRAS in Zurich. It is an important basis for the work in the strategic focus on the City of Zurich as a business location. On the basis of statistical data, the study presents the development of the workplace in three sub-areas in the city of Zurich compared to other Swiss cities, explains the relevant economic and technological trends, shows perspectives for the three workplace areas and identifies possible courses of action.
