We’re delighted you're planning to get married! You can pre-book the date for your wedding as early as 12 months in advance. Make sure you get informed about the legal formalities early enough.

(Please mention our nine-digit reference number. You can find it in the letter or e-mail we sent you.)
In order to get married, both future spouses have to be at least 18 years old and capable of judgement.
You will need to present various documents and fill in paperwork beforehand. Please allow plenty of notice to contact the civil registry office at your place of residence.
You can pre-book the date for your wedding as early as 12 months in advance (provisional booking). For the final confirmation of the date, the legal formalities have to be completed at least one month before the ceremony. Otherwise the provisional booking will be cancelled.
