On weekends and after office hours, Zurich is transformed into a city of culture, sports and leisure. Today, culture and leisure are among the city's growth sectors. In addition, the question of how a city fulfils its function as a "leisure space" is becoming increasingly important in terms of quality of life and image. The 2005 population survey therefore examined leisure activities in particular. A special evaluation on this topic commissioned by Stadtentwicklung and Grün Stadt Zürich is now available, which also includes data from the 2003 survey.
