Cycling frequencies Bertastrasse
Since 2009, the Civil Engineering Office of the City of Zurich has been collecting the bicycle frequencies in the city of Zurich with the help of automatic counting devices. The network of counting points currently comprises 24 counting devices. The measurement is carried out via induction loops embedded in the ground. The data is transmitted to a server via radio. The devices are harmless against the background of data protection, as only bicycle rides can be counted and no data about users or bicycles can be detected. The data of the counting devices are made freely accessible via the OpenData portal on the Internet.
Further information and data on bicycle counts in the city of Zurich can be found here.
