Information Meeting 2024
Welcoming culture, cultural diversity, cultural participation – where do we stand and where do we want to go?
On 27 February 2024, the Foreigners' Advisory Council (ABR) and the Promotion of Integration (IF) invited representatives of migrant associations and religious communities to an information and networking meeting. This year's focus was on the topic of culture.
Corine Mauch welcomed the approximately 220 guests to the Stadthaus and thanked them for their valuable commitment. She emphasized that a culture of dialogue, especially in difficult times such as those we are currently experiencing, is important for shaping coexistence together.
In a film created especially for the event, 15 committed people from Zurich talk about what culture means to them. They give an insight into their commitment to a good coexistence in Zurich and address their wishes to the city administration and the people of Zurich. (Film see below)
Following the formal part, the guests were able to get to know each other and network with each other over an aperitif. At discussion tables, they exchanged views on welcoming culture, cultural diversity, cultural participation and culture in the neighbourhood. At information tables, they received information on the topic of culture.

Am 27. Februar 2024 fand das Informations- und Vernetzungstreffen für Vertretende von migrantischen Vereinen und religiösen Gemeinschaften statt. Thematisch lag der Fokus auf verschiedenen Aspekten von Kultur: «Willkommenskultur, kulturelle Vielfalt, kulturelle Teilhabe – Wo stehen wir und wo wollen wir hin?» Im Film , der am Anlass gezeigt wurde, kommen 15 Migrant*innen zu Wort. Sie beleuchten den Kulturbegriff aus vielfältigen Perspektiven und erzählen von ihrem persönlichen Engagement für ein gutes Zusammenleben in Zürich.
