Urban Ethnographic Study
The majority of Zurich residents between the ages of 30 and 40 have their own migration history. They are more likely to be academics and are highly integrated into the labour market. Almost half are excluded from democratic participation.
What are the individual realities of life behind these facts? How do people from the age group see themselves? What do they see as an opportunity and a challenge for the city and for themselves? A city-ethnographic study by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) addresses these questions in narrative-life-world interviews.
The authors of the study are PD Dr. Dipl. Arch. Gabriela Muri and M.A. Sonja Kubat.
