For information about the necessary documents for marriage preparation and/or to make an appointment for marriage preparation (possibly with immediate marriage afterwards), please fill out the form below.

If you reserve your wedding date in the online counter, you will also receive information about the necessary documents in the next few days. Thus, it is not necessary to fill out this form.

Couples residing outside the city of Zurich should contact the civil registry office of their place of residence for advice.

Please note that reservations for an immediate wedding ceremony are accepted at the earliest 2 months in advance. There is only a limited number of appointments. 

Requirements and content of an instant wedding:

  • of the future couple, one person has the legal residence in the city of Zurich
  • two witnesses are necessary, additional guests are not allowed
  • personal wishes cannot be taken into account
  • the marriage is concluded directly after the successfully completed preparatory procedure
  • takes about 5 minutes and is limited to the official part
