Attractive Christmas market concept wanted
The city is looking for a convincing overall concept with a clear conceptual orientation, which should be expressed both in terms of content (with regard to the offer) and design. Great importance is attached to the connection to Zurich. The Christmas market on Sechseläutenplatz should have an independent profile and differ from the existing Christmas markets in the city of Zurich in terms of design and offer.
Dates and times

- Monday - Saturday: 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

Opening hours fondue chalet (closed hut) maximum
- Sunday – Thursday: 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.
- Friday – Saturday: 9.00 a.m. to 24.00 p.m.

The cleaning and winter service of the event site must be ensured from the takeover of the public land until the return by the organizer (ERZ Entsorgung + Recycling Zürich no longer offers this as a service).
In order to protect the trees, the tree islands must be protected with suitable barriers during the construction and dismantling of events against driving and depositing of goods and materials. During events, the tree islands serve as escape corridors and must be kept free of all infrastructure and goods.

The following fees apply to the implementation of the Christmas market:
Stalls for sale
- Fr. 9.00 per running meter per day

Food or drink stalls for immediate consumption
- Fr. 8.00 per square meter per day

Gastronomy with seating
- Fr. 4.00 per square meter per day

Various other fees
- depending on the event request
(For example: fees for assembly and dismantling days, permit, copy and writing fees, etc.)
Appraisal factors
The evaluation of the applications is carried out in accordance with the content and design quality criteria of the guidelines for Christmas markets.
With regard to feasibility, financing, technical aspects and the timetable are of course also important aspects in the assessment of applications.
Submission of documents (deadline 30 November 2019)
Content and scope
The concept including all documents must not exceed 30 A4 pages.
The following aspects must be included in the concept:
- Reference to the assessment criteria
- Occupancy
- Financing plan (investment and operation 2020 to 2024) and plan income statement (years 2020 to 2024)
- Timetable until implementation in 2020
