The four success factors show how the social dimension of sustainability can be taken into account in addition to the ecological and economic dimensions of replacement new buildings and renovations. They summarize the city's broad professional experience on this topic. The success factors range from lower living space consumption and higher occupancy to long-term renewal planning and measures to promote good coexistence to flexibly usable living spaces.The guideline was first published in January 2015 and updated in 2019. The updated version as well as the experiences of the last four years will be discussed on Tuesday, 4 June 2019, at a public event of Stadtentwicklung Zürich .
