The City of Zurich specifically subsidizes German courses that complement the existing offer, for example through the possibility of childcare. Many thousands of people with 132 different first languages and 145 nationalities have attended city-funded German and literacy courses since 2009.From 2019, the city's language support will be implemented on the basis of an updated concept.
