Multilingual Zurich
The city of Zurich sees itself as a cosmopolitan city and is aware of the cultural and economic advantages of a pluralistic population.
The city has not only grown in recent years, it has also become more diverse, more international and thus more multilingual. Currently, people from 170 different nations live in Zurich and many of them are either bilingual or multilingual or do not (yet) speak German.
A fundamental concern of the City of Zurich is that all residents can make equal use of its offers and services. In accordance with its integration policy objectives, it undertakes to communicate its offers in such a way that they are accessible to all.
