Tripartite Conference
Due to their importance as an economic and living space, strong agglomerations are key factors for Switzerland. At the same time, they are confronted with challenges that they often cannot solve on their own. The aim of the platform, which was founded in 2001 and has been known as tripartite conference TK (formerly Tripartite Agglomeration Conference TAK) since 2017, is for the Confederation, the cantons and the cities and municipalities to work more closely together on spatial development and to pursue a common policy involving both agglomerations and rural areas. Due to its central role in the Swiss Association of Cities (SSV), the City of Zurich is a core member of TK.
