Moving & Registration
The Residents’ Registration Office is responsible for changes of address, temporary or permanent residence permits and issues passports, ID cards and a wide range of other attestations, certificates and testimonials.
Current
The merger of the district offices into three locations will be completed by June 12, 2023. This merger also brings changes in regards to appointment reservations. As of now appointments can only be made for registering a move from abroad (from June 12, 2023). Registrations from abroad will be held exclusively by appointment at the City Hall (Personenenmeldeamt South). All other services can be completed online or without an appointment at one of the three locations (Personenmeldeamt South, North and West). All locations will be available to residents regardless of their place of residence.

The Residents' Registration Office in the City hall is open continuously from Monday to Friday 08.00 until 16.30. And every Saturday from 08:00-11:30.
