High-ranking visit from Copenhagen
 

The Social Democratic Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Sophie Hæstorp Andersen, stayed in Zurich from May 17 to 20. She was accompanied by a delegation from Copenhagen City Council's Finance Committee. The working visit included a meeting with Zurich's Mayor Corine Mauch. Before and after the meeting, the delegation exchanged with representatives of various departments of the City of Zurich. Thematically, the focus was on the strategy Zurich 2035, cultural policy, the net zero target, smart city, urban mobility and the dual education system.

Vienna-Hamburg-Zurich trialogue

Since 2019, the Cities of Hamburg, Vienna and Zurich have been cooperating more closely with each other. From May 12 to 13, 2022, Mayor Corine Mauch met her two counterparts Michael Ludwig, Mayor of Vienna, and Peter Tschentscher, Mayor of Hamburg, for an exchange for the second time as part of this trialogue. The focus was on urban mobility, housing policy and sustainable urban development. In a joint declaration, the three cities reaffirmed their will to continue their cooperation in the future, particularly in the areas of smart city, climate protection, social cohesion, and now also mobility and sustainable urban development.

Temporary city-to-city cooperation with Graz
 

A delegation from Graz, led by Deputy Mayor Judith Schwentner, visited Zurich on May 5 as part of the temporary city-to-city cooperation on the topic of «Safe Cycling». In addition to the infrastructure projects of the «Veloexpress»-team, the colleagues from Graz gained insights on the strategy «Stadtraum und Mobilität 2040» as well as the projects «Brings uf d'Strass» and «Stadtidee» with the responsible people from the City of Zurich.
